Good run down of scrimmage. Like offensive action. Really missing Russell on defense.

I note that Brunis and Irons impressed Arkley today. We should see less concern here about the QB situation, with Vick showing at 5-7, and Sprague at 9-9 passing. Now everyone will worry about the defense.

The swing goes back and forth. Wish I could see #36 adding his $0.02.

Indeed. Is it a bad offense against a bad defense? Or a good offense against a good defense? I'm going to stick with my theory that it's a good defense against an improving offense that has a lot of weapons. I think both are going to continue to improve as the season goes along.

I see this as a 2006-like team in terms of leadership and cohesiveness, but with more talent. I don't know that this team will do as well as 2006, though, because I think the rest of the MAC East is much better than 2006, particularly BG, but I do think it will be a fun team to watch.

L.C.. No, I do not feel it is bad vs bad.  Nor am I comfortable grading the players from afar based upon spoonfuls of information.  So I will leave that to the better informed.

If Russell is done for the season like it sounds he might be, who's our starting MLB? Schany's gone, but we've got the true freshman DiCilio, and the media guide depth chart shows RS freshman/walk-on Grilliot as another option.

Would it make more sense to move Blair Brown inside and move maybe Polling to WLB?

It always feels like we lead the country in season ending injuries.  Now LB has me very worried.

That's because we do.
