With this news, I hereby call off my boycott!

I will also buy some OHIO gear there.

I predict that it will sell better than they anticipate. I know that many working class folks in the area have picked up Bobcat gear at Dunhams.  These are folks that would never set foot in the College Book Store, or other places on Court Street that might sell Bobcat gear.  The Athens Walmart also sells Ohio stuff, but as far as I know other area Walmarrts do not.  Next target: Walmarts in Gallipolis and Logan!

I'm torn, on the one hand I want every store to have Bobcat gear, on the other hand I feel a sense of loyalty to the College Book Store.

I hear you, but you're missing out on one of the best things to happen to Columbus since Jenni's Ice Cream, and that is a little store called Homage. They have some of the best OU gear around. And the t-shirts are incredibly soft.

Nobody could ever complain about that Steve & Barry's chain that bubbled up and went bankrupt in about five minutes during the early 2000s, because I swear that place had every school and organization available. Towson? NYU? Botanical Gardens of San Diego? The 1982 Vilner family reunion potato sack race championship t-shirt?They had it. The shirt would unravel after two washes, but...

I used to work at an S&B. My favorite day was the day after Appalachian State beat Michigan. People came in the store looking for the shirts and unfortunately we didn't have them. Low and behold, our next shipment was stocked full of Mountaineer t-shirts and we couldn't get rid of them fast enough.

The t-shirts sucked, but I've never found a better hoodie anywhere. I still own my Ohio hoodie from 2005 and it still holds up.

Steve and Barry's definitely had a hit or miss type of inventory.  Most of the shirts I bought there were printed on Gildan t-shirts and hoodies.

Homage is also a great store and I love my shirt from there (one featuring the paw).  Excited that they are opening a Cincinnati store this fall.

My daughter still has the Starbury's we purchased for her there 10+ years ago.

I'm familiar with Homage, knew of their website, didn't know they had a physical location. I like their style.

Yeah I think they are over in Easton IIRC. They are opening one in the OTR area of Cincinnati in the fall. I think a Cleveland store is in the works or already open as well?

I'm not sure how I feel about them putting that store in OTR. I understand that's where the build-up is right now in Cincy, but I think it could have done better in Rookwood (like they need more traffic) or Kenwood (double whatever Rookwood gets).

They're in Easton and the Short North. I went to the Short North location that last time I was in Cowtown. They have a nice selection of OHIO gear, as well as all kinds of pro teams.

+1. They would maximize revenue in the Kenwood Mall.

This so much. My Steve and Barry's Ohio hoodie circa 2003 or 2004 is still my go-to cold weather sweatshirt.

I complained  based on I what was reported here that Ohio gear is not sold because it's not a D1 school (I thought I got her address off this thread but it's no longer here). Anyway, she got right back to me with this:

Not sure about the info you heard, however, we do carry Ohio product.  We are a bit low right now, but new receipts are shipping early August.  Expect select stores in Ohio to get new product prior to football season kickoff.

> I will ask the merchandising group to check on the plans for Jackson.  Thanks for the heads up.  I appreciate the feedback.

Dunham's in Coldwater, MI has Ohio, as well as Miami shirts. I think maybe they send the same stuff everywhere. No sane reason to have a rack of Ohio shirts there. Oh well I thought it was cool.

Homage has good comfortable stuff, very pricey though. Wait for a sale. And for the trademark folks, they're probably some of the best at selling merchandise without licensing. (Not all, but lots) And I'm not suggesting it's not legal, I really have no idea. Grey area stuff I would imagine. I believe the founder is a bobcat as well.

Last time I was at Hibbets in Gallipolis they had some nice Ohio under armor shirts.  As for the Walmart in Gallipolis I have a massive bone to pick.  They have big Ohio State, West Virginia and Marshall flags displayed at the entrance.  Makes me sick each time I walk in that dump.

The key to good health - don't shop walmart.  Try it - you'll like it and you'll feel better.
