Was told by ticket rep it is a virtual lock for 7pm. New ESPN deal mandates schools cannot release times until 10 days in advance...but little to no chance this one gets picked up for the tube.

For those curious, was also told EIU is 2pm and Akron is 2pm. But there is a good likelihood 'Kron gets picked up for TV and is at 3:30.

Always pays to be the pest that calls and asks!

If you look at the Week 4 schedule on ESPN's website, about 2/3 of the game times are still TBA.

Not just Week 4, but Week 4 and beyond. My guess is that they don't know which teams will be good enough for certain times slots until then. They don't want to get too hasty and schedule a team that's possibly 0-3 heading into Week 4 on ESPN or ESPN2. They're waiting for things to shake out, and holding everyone up in the process. CBS doesn't have their SEC game times listed yet either for Week 4.

100% correct. Typically three-ish weeks out, teams get slotted into times at least, although sometimes network can be assigned even later (not so much for us, but noon/3:30 games on ESPN or 2 might flipflop, for example.

OUAA has announced a 4:30-6:30 tailgate for the Idaho game. Does the alumni association know something about a 7 p.m. kickoff?

Probably got the same info I did. Told there's little chance the game gets on TV, so 7pm it is...

I got a kids club mailing today. It lists Idaho as a 7pm,  and Eastern Illinois on the 27th as 2pm.

That seems to follow the pattern of the last 2 years of having the game against the FCS team be a afternoon game.

I wonder if there's a chance that this game might be televised.  EIU is much better than the usual VMI or Martian team that we usually play for the FCS game.  If I recall correctly, EIU came very close last year to upsetting a B1G team.

*** EIU was much better than the usual FCS team LAST YEAR, before they lost their QB and coaching staff (or at least head coach). It remains an open question how good they are this year until they take the field. By the time our game comes around in week 4, they could be 0-3 or 3-0 (much like us).
