In the off chance that someone here has got this figured out......Since you apparently still need ESPN3 access to stream through the MAC site, I tried to sync my ESPN account to the WatchESPN Remote Access tool. If I am reading this correctly, that should let me watch games on my laptop wherever I am. I follow the directions, sign into my account, click the "Remote Access" link, and then click the "Sync Your Account" button, and.......it just sits there. No confirmation of success or failure or anything.

Is that all there is to it? I tried from several different devices and had the same result (except for my Android phone, and that tried to make me download an app), but it just seems odd that there isn't any confirmation. I was able to pull up ESPN3 programming live, but until I'm on a different internet connection I don't think that I'll know for sure if it was successful.
