I'm watching the Terry Bowden Show on Sportstime-NEO and the first thing I noticed is that the coach had lost a great deal of weight.  He actually looks mean, lean and healthy.  Does anyone know if he just started eating better, or did he have lapband surgery?

The show is somewhat entertaining -- though the highlights of the Howard game were not exactly scintillating.  His comments about the upcoming Penn State game were very low key, which surprised me a little.  He said something like, "They are giving us a big payday, they have who they want for this game, and we are happy to show up."  He made a very brief reference to the Michigan game last year (almost won by Akron), but didn't seem to want to mention that it was a competitive game.  His top priority seemed to be to not want to say anything that would give Penn State the idea that Akron was anything more than a sacrificial lamb.  Good coaching psychology, I guess, but a little lower key than most G5 coaches before a P5 game.
