CBS has Bobcats 76 out of 129  division 1 teams after win over Kent.  That is higher than I thought they would be.  Sagarin  (Monday) lists Ohio 104 out of 250 (includes AA schools).   Upcoming opponents:  Kentucky 71, Marshall 75, Idaho 150 and Eastern Illinois 123.   That's right where preseason Sagarin had Ohio.  Kentucky game will be a key.

Does it not take several weeks before the Sagarin formula starts to sort out the real rating?

well it looks like they have Kentucky at 73 on that site. Of course they still have bg at 43 and western Kentucky at 101 so I am not sure how much they really know about anyone outside the traditional powers.

Is that really Ohio's rating after week one? There are games taking place through Monday, I'd be surprised if they've done their post-week1 ratings already

The is the best OHIO football team I've seen since I started following the program in 2008. We're a top 50 team. If it takes the media 'til October to figure it out, so be it.

I don't know that they are the best Ohio team in that time. 2009 and 2011 were pretty good, and prior to the injuries, 2012 was an excellent team. I do think this team has a lot of fight in them, and will be a fun team to root for, as much fun as 2006 was.

I expect the results to be good. This team has the right attitude to be over-achievers. I just hesitate to burden them with expectations. I'd rather just sit back and enjoy what comes, whether wins or losses.

LC, that quarterback is gone. We are who you thought we were.

My late night post doesn't make sense. I identify with your sentiments L.C. There's no benefit to undue pressure here. That being said, they still played on Saturday like the most complete team I've seen since I've been following the program.
