Staying at the Holiday Inn Express near campus.  I believe that it is in walking distance of the stadium.  I guess after my stay at the HIE, I'll be knowledgable enough to coach the wide receivers for the Marshall game!

I have to say with all the recent goings on in "college" athletics, the biggest thing keeping me from committing to this game is the fact that i don't feel like giving one dime to the university of kentucky or any cartel school.

To be fair, Kentucky being an SEC football program almost seems like a fluky technicality. Vandy can't be EVERY SEC team's homecoming opponent.

Although Stoops has been recruiting the heck out of Ohio and other talent-rich states lately.

Received my tickets today. Section 113 doesn't look that bad. I have been in a lot worse. If we get a good turnout it could be a great time watching another SEC team go down.

Got mine today too, and agree 113 is pretty decent considering what we've gotten in other venues. Thinking tOSU in FB & buffalo in hoops, borna may add Fiami hoops.

Hope we have a good turnout for the team.

I checked in on the UK site for parking tips and there is a lot said about how on-going construction in and around the stadium will disrupt traffic, parking and even the gates used to enter and leave.  I would advise you to take a look at that before heading down.

Does anybody have any current experience in Lexington?  The shuttle system looks like a a decent alternative if you don't mind leaving yourself at the mercy of a circulating bus.

Found this little nugget, too.

"The five-millionth person to attend a game at Commonwealth Stadium was "Jack Crowe, who walked through the gate as number 5,000,000 on Oct. 3, 1987, as Kentucky played host to Ohio."

I just read that everyone has to have a ticket, regardless of age, so I guess that means another $50 for my 1-year-old son.
