I saw Michigan's band last Saturday in their game against Utah (yes, there actually is a Lembright NOT attending OU, go figure) and no way they're No.3. Their show was b-o-r-i-n-g! You put the Marching 110 in a 109,901 seat stadium and watch out!!

whoever made this list must not actually watch the bands but goes off the football reputation of some of the schools mentioned.. I have seen the Michigan marching band many times and I have to agree with the assessment that they are boring. I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish this year when I saw them. The wizard of oz show from 2010 though is worth watching because of Rufus talking Brutus during the show. Let's face it though after the fight song and Can't Turn Me Loose, Michigan has little to offer. Can't turn me loose is also best experienced at the hockey games. Ohio State way to high and Texas A&M way to low. The Four Way Cross through is a marvel in itself.

the article originally listed the Marching Illini band as the band for Illinois State in Normal, Il. Looks like they tried to fix it but now it says University of Illinois University. So glad it was them and not us.

a stroll down memory lane with an amusing thread from some fans of the #9 band back in 2009 when the #1 band played in their stadium.

vids of the performance

the 110 continues to be a strong asset.
