I wonder how high our scoreboard can go? Because I want our offense to test it out. I want points scored.

We may need 40+. They're averaging 32 pts a game vs UL-Monroe (road) and WMU (home). Their problem is defense; they've given up 38 and 45, respectively. I'd like a complete game from our team: we score in the 40s at least and hold them under 10. But mostly I just want a win.

Good news for us wanting to see something change in the backfield:

Jason Arkley @JasonAmessenger · 2h

No injury news, but Solich hinted the RB rotation may shuffle a bit. "AJ (Ouellette) gets a lot out of a play" the coach said

every time I see we are a double digit favorite it worries me. I don't think we played one good game last year when that was the case.

Is L.C. a prophet or what? In another thread he predicted precisely this. I constantly marvel that so far away from the action he can get a pulse on what's going on in Athens and has such a great handle on Ohio football personnel. He's real gem to have on BA! :-)

Amen! Of course, I suppose you know that L.C. is otherworldly. Hoping to cross paths with you on Saturday.

Idaho has played both their games close against two pretty solid teams. Their offence has been effective but there defense shoddy at best. I'm going with 31-21 win. However if we continue to lose the turnover battle we might get upset. With how good their offence has been I don't think we'll be able to pull another Kent.

Inflatables are a given at every home game.

Next two games--five games in, finally some lesser competition--tell us if we may have any playmakers, regardless of year (freshman, soph, etc). Time for playmakers to show.

Ehhhh.....Lou-Mo didn't look great versus a really bad Wake Forest team, and WMU lost to a pretty bad Purdue team. Plus, this will be Idaho's third trip east in 4 weeks.

Turnovers are always a variable, yes. And Idaho has a couple tall WRs that they may go to in order to exploit our shorter DBs the way Marshall did....but I really look for us to come out hard on this one. I don't think last Saturday sat well with our players...a lot of shoving and extra-curricular activity in the second half. I would not be surprised to see us take out some of that angst on Idaho and go into halftime up 3 touchdowns.

I'm calling 28-7 at half and 38-14 as a final.

In his comments about the Marshall game, Solich made the interesting comment "I think this last game was a game where, believe it or not, we showed some progress in some areas." Now it's time for the Bobcats to show that they have in fact improved a lot from where they were at the beginning of the season. I expect them to do that, and even though Idaho is much improved from last year, I expect Ohio to win comfortably. I don't think Ohio is going to blow things up, but I think the score will be something like 31-14.

Edit - I note Idaho is having a problem that hit Ohio the last two years - their offensive line is being hit with injuries. Kato Fawkes and Jeff Travillion reportedly had "freak injuries", and are likely done for the year, while OG Jordan Rose is questionable.

My thoughts on the game, Bobcat win. Hopefully it wont be close. I expect the D to play better than the last few weeks and hopefully the offense will mature. 3 score victory.

Here's WMU's drives summary vs Idaho last Saturday-

1 TD
1 TD

2 TD
2 TD
2 TD
2 safety

3 FG
3 TD

4 punt
4 punt
4 end of game

If our punter steps on the field before the 4th quarter I'm going to be disappointed.
