Their DC will serve as interim coach, but what are the chances of an Ohio assistant being considered for the full-time gig? Especially Albin or Burrow, since they know the area?

Charlie's reach exceeded his grasp long ago. He did well at ND with Willingham's recruits but when his recruits kicked in, things dropped off. I'm not sure if Kansas can ever compete against Okla, OklaSt, Mizzou, Nebraska and Wis, but Weiss was never the guy who could improve things there. He's at best a coordinator, and will likely find a job somewhere (maybe even on Fox).
