I bought a carton of milk today in Massachusetts, and Dorian Brown was on the carton.

In the middle of the 4th AJ up the middle wasn't working but they didn't try anything different until 3rd down. The kid's a horse, but even he has trouble when the defense is expecting him to run it. Liked the pass play they started on the last TD. He had enough sense to see that it wasn't there and turned into into a run. Heady play.

I noticed at the end there was finally some running room over left tackle when Lowery was in the game. First Edmond, then AJ ran for big yardage behind him.

Good call - I think Edmond's big run happened while he was in.

I think he has solidified himself as the starter still believe Daz should be used in certain packages as well.
P.S. We finally found a playmaker on the outside with Sebastian Smith

If AJ and Quentin Poling keep it up they'll both be freshman all Americans.

I had the fortune (but my ears didn't) of sitting in front of the OUellette clan. His sister sat directly behind me and we had a nice conversation including the proverbial "how did everyone miss him". They bring a loud bunch of 20+ to all the games home and away....seemed like a nice group of people.
The kid has vision and surprising speed. I'm not sure I like him runnin 30 times but he was getting the job done. I would have liked to have some other change of pace backs in there.
Lets hope he stays healthy cause he is definately a handful.

I can second the comments about his family as we were sitting beside them. I hope they can continue to bring so many to the games! They definitely added some life to our section!
By the way, I was loving their shirts and jerseys which all had OUellette on the back (notice the OU capitalized!)

I'm usually in 106, however I was a little late to the game this year. I am just across in 107 row 33.

My friends and I actually tailgated next to his family. Super nice people, let us use their grill after ours kicked the bucket. I think Ouellette and Poling will be both be stars for the Bobcats the next few years.
For the love of God though, get AJ off the special teams group!!

If he doesn't get picked up by an NFL team, he should go to Montreal. Ouellette the Alouette. Get the PR machine chugging on that one.

Man with him coming out of no where our depth at running back is insane. His senior year we will have
Ouellette
Dorian Brown
Tim Edmond
Irons
That is a crazy amount of quality RB's. Does anyone think one of them will change positions. I feel like that is a waste of talented players considering their senior year only 2 are likely to get good minutes.

I noticed that too. This is why having a strong in-state recruiting presence is a great model for this school as you get a lot of family and community support that way for the program. Right around 65% of the roster is from the State of Ohio up from 45% about 8 years ago. With the direction of the last couple of recruiting classes soon it will be 80%.

Making Edmond, what, an 8th-year senior?

I understand, riding the hot hand. And more importantly, sticking with a player who albeit in a small sample size, has shown he can hold on to the football. But if Solich doesn't start being more judicious with spreading the carries around...AJ won't make it to the end of the season.
Daz is not Beau, so stop using him like it. Use him in certain packages that don't involve "Daz running up the middle". Give Edmonds and Brown a combined 5-10 touches a game. Leave the bulk of the work to AJ (right around 20 or so carries)-- and his touches will be more effective, on the strength of his being fresher throughout the game.
I like what I see out of the kid, but let's not forget, this is a true freshman being thrown into the fire. Even stud backs are given a breather occasionally.

Love his toughness. I hate to compare him to Beau but he is Beau except he's making an impact already Beau-like as a freshman. I think that in order to be successful the next couple of years we have to have someone who can be the opposite of A.J. in the backfield WITH him. We need options at times. A change of pace guy. I would like to see Daz with him and just have 4 wide or 3 wide. But this kid is slowly becoming one of my favorite players. How does Frank find these guys?

Any word on OUellette's injury? It looked nasty, the way his ankle turned underneath the EIU player. But it was encouraging to see him go off under his own power.

They probably won't know for a day or two how bad the ankle is.
