Interesting, school saying the young man got all he was promised and after the start the family wanted to renegotiate! If this is true, good luck finding your next team.
The old saying “there’s two sides to every story” often holds true. What we heard first was his story. Since then we’ve heard from UNLV. The truth lies somewhere in the between. The question is, where in between. Either way, it’s yet another issue that isn’t good for college (or should I say pro) football. Whether one side is at fault, or both, either way it’s not positive for the sport. But this is where we are today with this sport. And things like this won’t be the last we hear about either.
The other thing that we don't know about that may be in play here is tampering. Nick Saban flat out admitted after he retired that Alabama tried to get Toledo's corner Quinyon Mitchell to enter the portal and he never did. Gotta think that's happening ad nauseum all over the sport.

Now...tampering a guy with these stats to play on a higher level? That would be something.

True that there are two sides to every story. However, the truth doesn't always lie somewhere in between. Sometimes one side is completely right (and true) and the other side is completely wrong (and false). Not saying that's the case here, just that it could be, and we don't really know much of anything about where the truth lies.

Anyone who has been out in the world certainly knows the truth of the old saying that "If it is too good to be true, it probably is." It's amazing how much he said/she said is going on regarding this situation and how little transparency is at play here in terms of whether something was actually signed or not. If one was dealing with a grifter/hustler out on the streets, one would in theory want something in writing, so to speak, at the bare minimum, if not some sort of proof that something is, indeed, legit. Is the fact that this is all happening in the so-called "Ivory Tower" of Academia setting some of these kids up to get tricked more easily since Universities give the impression that they are ethical and credible? Anyone out there have any insight about what is being talked about within the corridors of power at various universites regarding all of this?
