100% correct.
Will our #1 QB rest this week to give his wrist time to heal? QB #3 or #4 should get the job done against Akron.

If the truth about Navarro is that his injury was before his picks last week, which I understand is the case, I would say that he is receiving too much flack for what has been a very solid start to his season. We knew he wasn't a slinger like Rourke, but he's managed the game well and run a balanced attack through 2.5 (ok, 2.3) games. At this point, I'm comfortable with a HEALTHY Navarro running this offense.

Regardless, we can't have fumbles on the exchange like we did 5 yards from paydirt, and pass coverage has to improve (be healthier?). Two mega turnovers and too many long conversions last week turned a competitive game into a blowout. I was not expecting to win at Kentucky, but I did expect a more competitive outcome.

If you can’t block it ain’t going to matter if it’s an inside zone or an outside zone.

...in which case, the proper course of action is to call for the offensive coordinator's head, because he keeps calling plays that don't work.

...or maybe blame the QB for plays that don't work. Or a little of both...
;)

You definitely called it, Billy. Ohio could not move the ball very well against the Kentucky defense.

And Navarro is number 2 in the MAC in QB rating so I guess the whole MAC QB’s suck

Take away that 3 interception game and the picture looks better.

As long as he doesn’t make mistakes his running ability should give defenses some trouble,

I can’t believe that Owen is OUr only serviceable WR.

Other WRs must step up.

Surprised it took so long for Rodarte to get a catch this year. And Pugh hasn't been involved much either. I don't think Dennis has any offensive snaps this season?

Three guys who haven't been here long, but Owen is putting them to shame right now.

Don’t fret too much-Navarro has the number 2 QB rating in the MAC, so everybody else is no good either

I'm a Navarro fan when calibrated to MAC standards. He has the ability to win us a lot of games.

I believe Dennis had a reverse end-around v. Kentucky for a decent gain. He might have been concussed on the play, however, and we haven't seen him since.

Didn't he fumble the ball out of bounds (barely) against KY?

He did. Refs ruled he was down before fumbling, otherwise UK had the turnover.

Yep. That's it. Probably why I couldn't find it in the box scores. 1 carry for 10 yards. 0 rec.

There has to be some level of concern that Owen is the only factor in the passing game. Last week he had three catches and nobody had more than one. This is becoming a theme. The outside receivers are either not getting open or Navarro doesn't have great chemistry with these guys.
Some of the WR's aren't getting much run. Rodarte and Pugh come to mind. Could be taking a while for them to get up to speed. Dennis I believe wasn't dressed on Saturday.

Owen has been very impressive out there. What a shame he only has one year here.
