Embarrassing.
Tyus is a generational talent. USE HIM!!!!!!!!! DANG!!!! Our Redzone offense is awful and I blame Smith and Albin.
I said this all last year as well, but he calls plays like a BA poster.

1st and goal from the 5. Top 10 rusher. Run it. Run it again. Run it one more time. Run it a 4th time if you have to.

Albin (and a few goobers on this board): BuT wHaT iF tHeY StUfF tHe BoX

Newsflash. Defensenes try to stop you every down. It’s your job to execute. That’s what the lineman do. They block. You run around them. If you change your game plan bc you’re scared of the D you’ve already lost.

The fact that the backup QB choice is a JUCO transfer who has been in Athens for three months does not bode well for Withers and Winter’s development.
Poulos' passing have been fine so far. He has sometimes looked a little hesitant, but has been on target most of the time. His receivers haven't helped him at times. I'm not ready to bench him yet. Maybe to get Wither/Winter some garbage reps later.

When was the last time we got shut out?

Seems to be trending that way. Only had 4 posessions in the first half. What a thrilling game so far (sarcasm)...

Tyus limps off.

Honestly, I hate P4 games these days. They used to be a fun shot for an upset (I was at the Minnesota game in 2015 and Tennessee game in 2016). Yes, I know what Toledo and NIU just did. I know we get a nice fat check and these games are scheduled years in advance.

As a fan I would much rather have a South Alabama or FAU game. Much more competitive and intriguing matchups. This has been a slog this afternoon and feels like a risky waste of time if someone gets seriously injured.

He couldn’t hit a bulls ass with a handful of corn.

His passes that are fine are 4 yard slants to Owen. The rest looks like a freshman starting their first Varsity game. Though even then it’s been a while since I’ve seen a QB run into his RB.

Right on cue, Poulos throws a pick 6. That was terrible.

We are not good.

Bring in the 3rd string QB.

I completely blame Albin for not getting us a portal QB. And if you bring the weak Gundy crap at me just don't. We needed a QB and he went to an injured JUCO while not developing Wither or Winters. Navarro is not the answer either. Fold it up and play Wither and Brune/McCormick now.

The fall off from Rourke is so violent.

I agree with you, Sparrow. The new world will eventually separate P4 from everyone else. Every once in a while, I felt like an upset was a possibility. Now, I see no chance. We get our starters and 2nd team players reps, and get ready for The MAC with a healthy squad.

It does tick me off when I see several FBS schools find really good QB's. Couldn't we have done something in the off-season?

This game needs to end now. Nothing good can come from it.

Third time in two weeks that same pass has been picked off. Two from Navarro and the killer from Poulos.

I have other things to do with my afternoon.

Why we don’t run the fake speed option more will always blow my mind. It worked every time when Nathan and Kurtis was QB.

Today's bright spot: Akron is not Kentucky. The trick is to not make them look as good as UK.

UK hasn't given up a point to a non-SEC at home this season. That may be about to change in the 4th quarter.

You're not going to like OUr 2025 schedule. Bobcats visit o$u and Rutgers and host west Virginia (although I'm expecting WVU to buy out their visit to Athens).

Hunt gets to tell his grandkids someday he scored a TD in the SEC.

So do we ever practice two-pt conversions? We've tried two this year and failed miserably on both.

I'm with you. We've tried it just once this season. That was a mainstay through the Solich years.

I think Ohio is going to score more points than #1 Georgia did at Kentucky. I expect a pretty good game and think Ohio is going to be right in it.
I’m on the edge of my seat.

The Coaching is beyond abysmal at this point.

We score a TD, they go to review it, we can’t decide whether to kick the XP or go for 2 and while the refs give us an extra 2 minutes to decide - that’s not enough time for Albin - so he blows a Timeout. You cannot make this up.

Worst part of today, it appears some on the D flat out quit. I don’t say that lightly but check the tape on the 1st and 30 series.

We have the same access to players as Toledo, NIU, Miami, and BG so I don’t want to hear portal-this and portal-that.

I am sure glad that we scheduled an SEC opponent. I can't think of a single upside to the Bobcats having played this game today.

Kentucky being a mid tier SEC team doesn’t mean we were gonna play well against them. Especially with our best defensive player out. Last years team probably scores 20. Let’s just hope the check clears and we’re $1+ mil richer.

If you think that game was worth only $1 million to UK and the City of Lexington……your degree must be from Akron.

Shameful we will not demand a fair wage for these buy games.
