yup. shows how perilous being the 3,4,5 spot on the depth chart is. he actually threw the ball decently. on the pass in end zone on first failed td drive - the receiver should have sat down in the zone - and the fade throw was on target on the final drive. plus there were a few drops. it’s a very fine line in the business. tough time to be free agent with only two preseason games left. also another indicator that when these guys sign a contract it’s just a piece of paper until they make the team.

Honestly I think he’ll be better than his last season in the CFL. The NFL trainers got him in the best shape of his life probably.

Well, he gave the NFL his best shot. At least he got to spend some time in some nice cities. Jacksonville, Atlanta, NYC, Boston, etc.

I wonder how long it will take for him to be the starter. He probably still knows most of the Lions offense but going from an NFL camp to a league with different rules and jump in right in the middle of the season can't be the easiest thing to do.

They have 9 of the 18 regular season games remaining and are 5-4 right now and very much in the playoff hunt. The current starter, Vernon Adams, looks like is is playing pretty well. There are possibly some tough choices for the coach. A lot of fans probably want him to start immediately. I don't know but I'm guessing that isn't going to happen.

I'm guessing we'll find out pretty fast as the season is half over, but I can't say that I would personally want to sign on Wednesday and be playing the toughest position in football on Saturday.

Still really great money, but is that Canadian dollars, I assume? If so, that $750,000 is more like $550,000. Nothing to complain about whatsoever, but the conversion from Canadian to US dollars would make those numbers a bit smaller.

It might be less pay than he was getting in the NFL but I'm sure he'd rather be in the game than roaming the sidelines. And the Lions sure can use him. They're in 2nd place but only at 5-4, so they obviously can use him.

He was starting to become far and away the most popular player in Canada. It won't be hockey player money but if he plays like he did a couple of years ago he'll get some endorsement dollars.

I saw a Canadian site this morning guess that he would start this weekend and probably be rusty. I wouldn't have been surprised by him starting next weekend. A few days after being in another league when the current QB is doing OK still seems like a big ask to me.

Adams is apparently doubtful this week due to injury so that's why they might rush Rourke right into starting.

Rough return to the CFL -- 8 for 25 for 126 yards and 2 picks. Though the announcers were quick to point out he signed only three days ago and hasn't played a football game that counted in nearly 2 years

CFL fans are delusional if they thought he was gonna throw for 350+ with 4tds. Don’t think he can learn the full playbook in 3 days and I heard the top two WRs only had one day of practice with him. Let’s see what happens in the next outing.

I watched some of the game. There were a few great passes that were just dropped.
