I saw enough positive yesterday that I am holding out hope for improvement week by week. Our receiving corp is very talented and getting better each week. RE: S Smith and Wyatt, B Cope, too.

I read a Vick tweet that makes me think he will be back next week. I love Tim Edmonds. I love our young linebacking group and DiCillio and others are redshirting. Our younger DB's are fast and physical. Our special teams are set for the next few years. Our D line is deep and I hope we see improvement there soon.

I think we have some amazing game breaker athletes in Cochran, Walker, White, and hopefully Irons. I think Dorian Brown has a lot to offer.

My advice to Bobcat faithful is look for the positive. Judge this team by where we are in week 12.

I agree with others on this board that rebuilding sucks for the fan base.

No ouellette? A true freshman thats our starter is obviously going yo be our future. Which is great but get some blocking for him. They run plays that are designed for all backs, and you cant do that they all have their own running style so if hes going to be our starter as he is then wrap our running game plan around him...and brown obviously isnt better than ouellette or he would be starting im sure the coaches watch for that.

I did see some hope from the results of this weekend around the MAC to think we can win more games. Buffalo losing to EMU puts them into the beatable category and NIU lost to CMU 34-17 at home. Both of these schools have to come to Peden Stadium. There is a chance next week against Akron who doesn't put a lot of points on the board but plays good D. We could take them out in a sloppy 21-19 type game with a few turnovers. The problem this year is the offense hasn't gelled yet and if it starts to do that we're in for a good finish.

Without Vick at QB, I see this as a season to build for next year. We have potential, but it's still very rough. We lack experience. Lots of bad decisions being made on both sides of the ball. There are flashes of better play, but they're mostly after we're hopelessly behind and the opposing D is playing prevent. I think it would help Sprague to roll the pocket to give him more time. The deep routes also need to be a bit shorter. He doesn't have the arm to fully catch up with Cochran.
