Since no one claims the Bobcats are having a great season, I thought this would be a more constructive poll as far as determining Bobcat fan sentiment.

Perhaps you should rename this "We suck because" so folks won't get confused and think they've already cast their votes, so to speak.

I don't buy walkons and injuries as excuses. That's life in a football program. The strength program numbers aren't what they should be but that is on recruiting. Recruiting, play calling, technique all has to be signed off on by the executive head coach Mr. Frank Solich. So I vote fire Frank Solich.

This poll needs to be done--regardless of whether you are pro or con--in a way that allows one to select more than one of the given options.

Polls on BA can only be done where you can select one answer.

One potential cause no one has mentioned: OBAMA.

Walk-ons/recruiting. Best coaches in the world can't win when they're outclassed at every position.

not outclassed . . . but under trained because of youth.

I'm not sure I understand why some on here confuse "talent" and "experience." This type of situation has played out over the years at many other schools where a program has a down year (a rebuilding year) because it's better players are underclassmen and then in a year or two that program explodes into a top 25 one. I think that many OHIO fans have no experience with this typical ebb and flow and take any downturn as evidence that the sky is falling and that Frank Solich has suddenly become a clone of Brian Knorr or Cleve Bryant. Or, alternately they spin ageist theories that he's so old that the game has past him by. Give me a break . . . with all due respect to Monroe . . . the sky is not falling, whether we win or lose next Saturday.

I think the issue fans see is the steady decline since 2012. If we had a great season last year, things would be different. Instead we were outscored by a billion points and limped to the finish. It hasn't been an ebb and flow. If this were a chart, it would be straight downward. That's what concerns me. The magic appears to be gone.

There were serious locker room issues last year that had little to do with talent or coaching. Those issues are, according to all reports, not present this year.

If the sky has already fallen is it true that it is not falling now?

We suck because of our inability to post pictures and emoticons so that we can clearly illustrate and articulate to the coaches changes that need to be made.

(Insert Tongue in Cheek emoticon so Ted and Ryan know I am kidding)

So, my swabbie oil tender friend, would you be quoting your favorite former VP Spiro T Agnew and call out those nattering nabobs of negativity?

Well, my rice paddy Army grunt friend, the actual quote is "nattering nabobs of negativism." While I think the quote might be germane to the topic, Old Spiro is not among my favorite politicians. An uncle of mine had a nasty run-in with him back in the early 1960s when he was Baltimore County Executive. I don't remember the details but it involved garbage (literally), which is fitting giving the scandals that forced him to resign the vice presidency showed he had a lot of garbage (figuratively) in his past. I guess my uncle didn't offer him the appropriate bribe to solve his garbage problem.

We suck...
...because our video board and speakers are undersized and outdated.
...because the corner endzone stands don't line up with the rest of the stadium.
...because our fans yell if you stand up in front of them, even though that's what our fight song says to do.
...because osu.
...because we don't have a beer garden.
...because the NCAA is going to kill amateur football.
...because parking services boots our own equipment van.
...because ESPN doesn't offer WatchESPN to every cable and satellite provider.
...because Muck Fiami.
...because intentional grounding at the 4 yard line is a safety.
...because the IPF track screwed up the turf.
...because Cleve Bryant.
...because Brian Knorr.
...because Kirby Hocutt.
...because Jim Christian.
...because BA got rid of emoticons.

Even if we didn't suck, Albin should be fired. Why? Because Albin sucks.
