I consider myself split between avoidance and acting out.
When we lose, I try to avoid this board like the plague. Unfortunately, I can type MUCH faster than I can think so my fingers often carry me here out of habit. When that happens, I quickly enter into act out mode and try to change the subject of every thread into attendance and moving to a new conference.

I am also firmly in camp "the Browns just saved my weekend."

I'm an addict. I understand the horrible things this football season is doing to my health and sanity, but I just can't quit.

Go Bobcats.

As a Bengals fan, The Walking Dead season premier saved mine.

The Nuge has been riding the coattails of his great OSU kicking for his entire NFL career. I can't think of one big kick he's made for the Bungles.

Here is how I look at the situation. Let's say I'm Frank Solich and the BA fans are my wife. I've done amazing things for you. Gave you NFL players you've never had. Took you to bowl games you've never have won before. Brought us some of the biggest crowds in OU history. We have, for the most part, been an amazing couple. But as soon as a couple things start going amiss. AKA We have a 7-6 season and start the season 3-4. You divorce me and start looking for another husband. This is us right now. We're showing no loyalty to Frank. Good fans would stand by his side through hard times but we're not doing this. We're over reacting to this and Frank deserves our support. Plenty of good coaches have gone through hard times in there career and pulled out of it doing well. I see huge potential for this young group of players Frank has recruited and think in either 2015 of 16 we will win a MAC title. This is a rebuilding year we need to accept that. Last year we under performed. Yes be mad at Frank for that but this year we should've seen a bad year coming. We have a very young team give it time.

+1

Recently someone brought up the example of Bill Snyder, who went through some down times but came back as an example.

I'm in the camp of "when in Hades was Ohio ever, ever a football power or football school to begin with!?!"

And yes, last night's Walking Dead episode was freaking awesome- best episode yet!!!

+1 Just a question. When you refer to a bad year, are you referring to a bad year by Solich or Ohio standards?

Except the analogy breaks down when you consider we're paying him half a million dollars a year to be our husband.

A little of both. We haven't done nearly as well as we have in prior years with Solich and at the same time a 3-4 record with wins against bad teams isn't that impressive even for Ohio standards. I think by Ohio standards when the year is done it won't look too bad. Maybe 5-7 6-6. Not where I like but a little better than the years before Solich.

Note: Especially considering this is a rebuilding year. Old rebuilding years would be not winning a game. New ones are almost, if not, making a bowl.... Funny how things have changed with Frank
