Ohio doesn't have any real "Bye Week" this year, but now comes the next best thing. They get 11 days before the Buffalo game, then 13 days before N. Illinois, and are at home for both. Thus, after playing 9 games in 9 consecutive weeks, they get 24 days with only 2 games. That's plenty of time for a lot of healing. The players that are out for the season will still be out, of course, but hopefully most everyone else will be back.

It seems like each year some position gets hit harder than the others. This year it has been safety. Because they aren't running much nickle, safety should have been very deep, but...:
1. Devin Jones is out for the season
2. Carpenter may be done as well
3. Scipio has only played in two games.
4. Quallen has been gone since the 3rd game
5. Kristoff has been playing some, but is banged up

That leaves only Ingol, Macer, and Toran Davis.

Wow. I think we will finish 6 & 6. The time off can't hurt.

Per Arkley's article, Carpenter done for the year, will petition for a medical redshirt/6th year of eligibility.

I think 6-6 is probably what we will accomplish this year.

When is it time to talk about our weight training program? We usually have 20 of our top players unavailable every week.

I think we are now practicing with the proper amount of contact. Most injuries seem to occur during games rather the practice.
