I thought that he was off the injured list and was expected to play today. As far as I could tell he was never in the game at all. He certainly never caught a pass, unless it was when went to the bathroom and missed a play or two. In the BG game he had very good rapport with Sprague and they always seemed to be on the same page of the playbook. I think he could have been a difference maker.

I think his hamstring injury is nagging and he is not 100%.

Thanks for the info. I hope he's ready to go for the Beefs game.

FWIW, per the same report, #21 Irons, M. did participate. Pretty sure he did not.

OCF, what makes you think Cope would have been a "difference maker"?

The wideout for WMU yesterday is a difference maker. Their running back might be considered a difference maker. Does Ohio's entire roster include a difference maker? Let alone Cope? We might dream of him (or some other Bobcat) as a difference maker, but would an unbiased football fan see him as such?

The participation reports are never very reliable. I look at them to find people that did NOT play, but rarely believe it when someone unusual is shown as playing. People who show as NOT playing, but who usually do, are Cope, Scipio, and McCray, plus the ones known to be injured.

I mentioned this in a few other threads, and don't have time to repeat it here, but I'm very high on Cope. Let's just see how he performs when he's healthy. This guy's an RS freshman and seems to me in the BG game he had his coming out party with a number of key catches for first downs and important medium length gains. It's possible, I suppose, that he won't click as well with Vick as he did with Sprague in that game, but I'm anticipating some really good performances down the stretch. Let's see how this pans out.
