Ohio is 4-1 at home and 1-4 on the road. Though one could argue that we've played tougher teams on the road, I think it's also clear that we've played better at home. Our one home loss -- to BG -- was actually very competitve, despite the score as we had a total of 512 yards in the game, and showed a lot of offensive power not seen before this season until last night. With two weeks to prepare for NIU, and they only have one week to prepare for us, I'm optimistic that the 'Cats can pull out a win. Go OHIO!

NIU is 2-0 in road MAC games, but the wins were vs EMU & BSU, a combined 5-13 this year. Still, they've been tough on the road, with wins at Northwestern and UNLV and their only loss a blowout at Arkansas. I like the fact that we're playing them the week after they play Toledo, which is their last home game of the season. They could still have that game on their minds, win or lose, when they come to town. And they play WMU the following week, which could have MAC West implications, depending on what happens vs Toledo. We need to show the kind of fire, energy and confidence we had last night.
