The numbers are readable which is a significant improvement.

I like the new helmets but I liked the old jerseys better. I really liked the green and white Ohio part on the sleeve.

These are nice, very classy, traditional looking black unis. I like them, but note that they no longer have anything distinctive about them. They could take off the little "Ohio" insignia and replace it with an insignia for any other team, and it would work. The old one, with the distinctive "brick" sleeves worked for Ohio and only Ohio.

They have bobcats inside the numbers. I really think the helmets are the stars of this uni though

I would like to see black helmets and black pants with a green jersey with black numbers trimmed in white. It would still be a dark uniform overall but the green in the jersey would be more specific to Ohio. As mentioned, this one looks like it could belong to anyone.

I didn't notice those the first time, thanks. I agree that I like the helmets.

Even though these are a little generic, I like that they have a traditional, classic look, unlike the hideous clown suits that Adidas sometimes passes off for special uniforms. Russell has done well for Ohio.

I think I like the actual uniforms better than old black unis.

But, man, you watch that new reveal video, and then watch this one http://youtu.be/G2VyrUUvqps and it's hard to get excited about this set.

Music in the older reveal video is better too!

If it gets the kids cranked for game I'm for it.

But the end shot with the four of them having arms folded reminds me of a VERY bad Theatervision big screen TV commercial with Mark May and Joe Jacoby that ran in the DC area back in the '80s. The two read their lines in monotone, then stood there with their arms folded while the spokesguy gave his spiel. Never liked seeing big guys standing with their arms folded after that.

We have money to produce this silliness but we didn't have the money to put volleyball up on the landing page last week. It is a nice commercial for Russell though.

BINGO.

If it fires up the players, awesome. If it makes recruits take notice, awesome. That is why they do this stuff. If lawns get trampled in the process, so be it.

I like the old black unis better these look pretty bland outside the bobcat logo on the numbers. My favorite jersey is still the white brick concept that the guys wore in the bowl game last year. As for the kids getting fired up I think the coaches should have done what they did in 2011 and actually gave the kids an actual surprise on game day they were fired up that night and stomped the thundering terds 44-7.

I just don't want Ohio to turn into Oregon, Maryland or Texas Tech and have a different uniform combination for every game. I wanna see the classic white helmet, green jersey and white pants every once in a while! Keep it simple!

I don't think you really have to worry about the former ever happening here but you might have to worry about the latter.

Question: If a team wears a different uniform combination every week what is going to qualify as nostalgia for current students when they're old farts like me? Sorry for your loss.

BTW. They can do this forever and nothing I can envision will ever top the first black-out uni, if only for the result that it's tied to. One of the most exciting evening I've ever spent in Peden Stadium

Uniform is nice looking. Way better then the white brick uniform. I think if they did an all gray uniform, that would get some of the team pumped up. I have heard that is the color some on the team want to see next. Never been a fan of all gray myself, but they are the ones playing.

Those are a big improvement over the last black ones. If you copied the helmet stripe to the shoulders, like on the green unis, these would be the best ever. The helmet is beautiful.

I still like how Frank rolled the blacks out the first time.
Kids didn't see them til gameday.
I'm all for anything that gives the team a little extra "juice".

Personally, I like these way better than the old black ones -- especially the helmet. Now, if they can produce the same result as the old black uniforms did on their first outing that'll be a real extra plus. Go OHIO!

Other than the helmet, NOT a fan of the unis. Nothing distinctive about them at all.
