So the takeaway from this exercise is that Paul Graham's wife probably gets crappy and late anniversary gifts.

Here's to 10 great years! (of which I've been a part of roughly 4). On to the next great 10 years!

I found this site during my freshman year. I believe it was printed on the rap sheet handed out to the OZone at basketball games. Although I'm not the most frequent poster, I've read the site every day since then (six years).

Thanks to everyone for making this my #1 place for Bobcat news and discussion.

Cool history lesson Ted - You should put a page up for it on the site.

I remember Ryan Carey telling me (I believe in a December 2002 loss at Toledo) that he was making a new site and that he was just going to give it to him. I thought that was pretty cool and generous then, and I still do. The hours that went into it I'm sure are more than we can imagine, and we're lucky he got to back when he actually had the time. The public launch of the current framework of BA was December 20, 2004...If you're looking for a specific date to celebrate.

I frequented the ESPN board (both Ohio & MAC) during college (99-03) and it was fairly active. I think the only name I remember from those boards is OUVan. I transitioned over to BA around the 2001 launch of the familiar domain.

It is hard to quantify how much BA has done to advance Ohio athletics...buzz and discussion drive interest more than anything else in sports. So thanks guys.

BA is my crack. I can't express how much enjoyment I get out of this board. It's great to be surrounded by people who have a similar passion about Ohio Athletics.
Kudos to Ryan and Ted.

Wait, does this mean we're approaching the 20th Anniversary?

I want to say it's been longer than that?!

My first memories are sometime around the 2001-2002 time window?
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but since Ted's profile says:

"Member Since: November 11, 2004"

I would guess that it has been 10 years.
But we had the old Tcom site before that. When did that start - you know the days of 3 Ball?
And "Marco" along with "Dan Jordan's Dad".

I thought the board crashed early on and much of the data was lost so the actual start date might be prior to November 11, 2004.

Many thanks to Ted, Ryan and in the early days Mike Coleman for creating this venue for all of us. I always remembered the excitement of longing on in the days of the T-Com board! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsNaR6FRuO0

I'm pretty sure you meant to say "DAN JORDAN'S DAD!"

And speaking of history lessons and correct me if I'm wrong, but at one time Tom Boeh hated this site and may have suggested on more than one occasion that certain things not be posted.

Boeh also did a couple Q&A sessions with the board. I don't think it went much beyond two or three sessions and don't know who ended it or if it just fizzled, but that was a fairly progressive step.

Was it with the board or on ohiobobcats.com? My memory serves me that it was the latter.
