I just noticed that the South Alabama v. South Carolina football game is being carried by STO today at Noon ET. This game could be of interest to Bobcat fans. Since the Sunbelt is tied in with the MAC on bowl games, the USA Jaguars could be an opponent for the Cats in a bowl game this year. One possibility would be the brand new Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama.

STO, which is based in our state, is televising a sun-belt/SEC game. It's of no interest to me and I will not acknowledge that with my viewership.

If the SEC and the ACC are smart, this will be the last season they schedule a patsy this late in the season. This was one of several games this weekend where a "P"5 conference team is playing G5 or 1AA schools: Charleston Southern-UGA, EKU-Florida, Samford-Auburn, Ga State-Clemson, West Carolina-Bama. They've scheduled these in the past to have basically a week off before a big rivalry game. But we're finding that the selection committee is just like the other polls; a team's body of work isn't nearly as important as what they've done lately. No matter how badly Bama beats WCU, it won't be nearly as impressive as FSU beating BC or Oregon taking out Colo (if that were to happen). It's even worse if they don't pummel them (Bama's up by only 3 in the 2nd quarter).
