What about Navarro? He has another year, right? He was a 2020 recruit, didn't play in 2020, and only a few plays in 2021. If he got a Covid year and a redshirt, he should have one more year left.

Yes, it would definitely appear Parker will be back along with Wood and Tyus. Looks like Wither is moving on.

ESPN's "College Football Final" rang up a dollar to the Ohio student who missed the FG between the first and second quarters for one of the worst plays of the day.

But we did get the MAC's offensive POTW (Coleman Owen) and defensive POTW (Shay Tyler).
Speaking of home game promos at Peden, the Green Man has struggled out-sprinting contestants this fall when giving them a 10-yard advantage. The remedy was to decrease that head-start to only 5 yards and he still struggled to beat one of the two contestants.

This reminds me of the Don Wood promotion at the Convo in the 1980s. Contestants had to hit a layup, free throw, 3-pointer and then one from halfcourt to win a new car. It wasn't unusual for them to select a fan they knew had no shot of hitting all 4 attempts, therefore only having to give away a t-shirt instead of a new car after they missed the layup or free throw.

One December game, lightly attended during Christmas break, I was selected. I calmly hit the layup, then the foul shot, followed by a 3-point swish from the top of the key. With a new car on the line, I came up slightly short (don't believe SBH's recollection) on the heave from mid-court. I still won something, a cheap t- shirt. Just like all the other bricklayers. I still have that t-shirt, almost 40 years later.

Parker having another year makes sense to me, but can somebody explain to me how Tyus would have another year? By my count he has played in more than 3 games in 4 seasons, all after the 2020 Covid year.

I had thought this was his last season.
Maybe he wasn’t in the senior day pictures due to his injury.

Parker would conceivably have another year should he choose to accept.

Tyus is a class younger than Parker, but his first year at NW was 2021, so he just missed the COVID year and he played as a true freshman.

I will be interested to see what actually happens in the QB world next season. (SUPERSENIOR - Parker, Senior - Polous, JR - Wither, SO - Winters, Fr - Papas)

We only have 1 QB recruit so far for 2025 - 0 Star Dale Davidson.

Do the Rourke's have another son, by chance?

This one is a bit out there, considering the offense they run....
I wonder if Navy QB Blake Horvath (Hilliard) wants to go into the Navy? Or if he would transfer back to Ohio. He likely has other offers, and Navy appears to be doing pretty well... but he would have a few years left.

Through 7 games:
91.5 QBR (2nd in FBS), completing 62% of his passes, 10 TD / 2 INT, 976 yards passing, 750 yards rushing, 11 td

Compare to Parker:
59.7 QBR (63rd in FBS), 66% cmp, 7 TD / 7 INT, 1217 yards passing, 515 yards rushing, 4 td

I thought this was not the case but on further investigation I believe that it is.

2020 - DNP at UCF. This is a COVID redshirt so the still has another redshirt
2021 - Played in 5 games at UCF because of special teams contributions. Played sparingly but this can't he a redshirt
2022 - Started the year at Ohio as the #2 QB. Played in garbage time in 2 games before being injured. This can be counted as a redshirt
2023 - Started at the #3 QB but played in 6 games because Harris got injured.
2024 - Starting QB

Only 2021, 2023 and 2024 have to count against him. So, yes, I think he could play again. It would be his 6th year in college.
