Don't understand how we are 6 point favorites. I get we are playing at home but did they not see our last game?

Oh, and we just lost our starting RB for a while. Buffalo is also 4th in the MAC in Rush Defense so that will make our life even more difficult. I hope Navarro makes some good decisions.

Hoping for the best but it's hard to be optimistic despite how many times Albin says he's "excited".

It’s surprising that Rickey hasn’t played more this year even with Tyus doing well. Let’s hope he has a break out game.

Buffalo can't and doesn't win in Athens. Period. Since 1997, right before the Bulls joined the MAC, Buffalo is 1-12 in Peden Stadium during that span and has lost 6 straight. In UB's last two trips to Athens (2022 and 2018), Buffalo was undefeated in the MAC and simply got crushed. In 2022 Buffalo was 4-0 in the MAC and got rocked by Ohio 45-24. In 2018 they came in red-hot at 6-0 in the MAC and got blasted 52-17. They just don't win there, plain and simple. Wake me up when Buffalo actually wins in Athens. Ohio wins this game against Buffalo. Again.

This is a solid Buffalo squad that has surprising wins over Northern Illinois and Toledo. They have a really good defense despite their showing last week against Western Michigan.

Shaun Dolac was named a CBS Sports Midseason All-American and is leading the nation in tackles with fellow linebacker Red Murdock ranked 3rd in the nation.

They have their struggles on offense passing the ball but are coming off their best performance of the season through the air. CJ Ogbonna just threw for his first 300 yard game but his road splits haven't been good.

I think this will be a lower scoring game played in the 20's that can go either way but I'd give Ohio the advantage since we're at home.

We’re 7 games in and we all know that our offense is not very good. Facing a good defense will hurt our chances greatly. I’ll be there, but I’m not expecting a breakout game for us. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm not expecting a breakout game. Another step forward is all I hope for. If the offense plays as well as they did in the fourth quarter against Miami, that would suffice. I'm guessing that Navarro is out, and hoping that Poulas can complete better than half his passes, with no interceptions, that would be a big step forward, and a TD pass or two would be icing on the cake.

Can you honestly say that we are taking steps forward each week? We seem to make some progress in one area but move backwards in other areas. Our offense took big step back last week.

As far as the Miami game, the offensive line certainly had a bad game, and they need to step it up. The loss of Tyus will be a big step back for the offense. If Navarro re-injured his wrist, the loss of him will hurt, too.

On the other hand, with the exception of 2 plays (58 yard run for TD, 28 yard pass for a TD), Ohio dominated the second half. Miami only had 2 first downs, while Ohio had 3 TD drives, one under Navarro, 2 under Poulos. I think that was a big step up, for both the offense and the defense.

Buffalo has the two best wins in the MAC thus far. The NIU game was almost what I would call a fluke win, but hey, it counted. That said, Buffalo simply can't win in Athens. UB appears to be a better team than they were predicted to be. But any time they roll into Athens no matter how good they appear to be, they get beat. I expect nothing but the same this weekend. Ohio wins.

Martin is a conservative coach just like Albin. He’s just running out the clock basically. ( their last 11 plays were all runs-3 series). You can’t just take out the really good plays- they happened. Miami is not a good offensive team anyway. Did Miami play second team defensive players the second half? I don’t know , but I’m not overly encouraged by playing a better second half after the first half debacle. It’s kind of like CMU in reverse. Can we put a full game together- that’s what I’m looking for - what I would call a breakout game.

Another trend is we are 14-1 at home over the last three years. It is a pretty small data set but it is 15 games with most of the same coaches and some of the same players. I don't put much stock in the Buffalo record in Athens. Eing a handicap to this Buffalo team. Almost all of it was done by different players just like our record in Mount Pleasant. I don't think it means a whole lot to predict the result. But let's make Buffalo's record in Athens even worse on Saturday.

The spread sounds like free money.

Ogbonna has only 1 INT this season. They take care of the ball. Unlike OU.

We have 14 turnovers in 7 games. NOT GREAT.

I'm not super confident, but I do have a good feeling about (another) breakout game from RHJ. If you can't get yourself psyched up for this game you better check your pulse. This is his time.

Buffalo either wins by 20+ or lose a close one, bc OU didn't turn the ball over and RHJ went off.

Let's see if 8 games is the charm and the Ohio offense finally begins to click on all cylinders. I think the defense is going to show up big after the loss at Miami. As for how this game goes, it's anybody's guess. That's why I am looking forward to it.

250 yards rushing has me feeling all kinds of excited. Forget the blue chew. Show me 40 carries for 250 on your head.

I think we all should be lightly called out for letting a game thread be this dead during a 30-point win. Yes, it’s a busy Halloween weekend but I think a lot of us (me included) would have made the time to post if this score was reversed.

This place is only active when we’’re playing badly. lol

I’ll take quiet and a beat down all day long.

I over estimated Buffalo or underestimated how good they can run - when they feed feed feed the ground game.
