With GT's win over FSU last weekend, Syracuse's 2nd game just got more exciting to them with pretty much every fan overlooking us. Of course, that's just fan board chatter, but maybe the team is thinking some of the same.
I'm bullish on our offensive potential this season. I think our backfield, plus a healthy PN as a major running threat makes us dangerous. Oline not AS experienced, but not exactly green either. They are big and talented. We scored 41 in a bowl game without every starting skill position from the end of the season and without ever stretching the field using a limited short notice playbook (Yes, I realize that's Georgia Southern not an ACC school). Hopefully Navarro getting a full spring and Fall with starter reps means we're ready to stretch the field a little, then I like our chances to score 25+ on these guys.
What about defense? will it look a lot different? Can we pick right up after Nowinsky's departure?
Biggest danger is getting down early before we can adjust to whatever they're doing with new coaching staff and schemes. 0-1 turnovers and we're in this game in the 4th quarter.
