FWIW Sac State is paying a heftier price tag to join the MAC ($18M) than NDSU to join the MW ($12M). That reeks more of desperation on Sac State's part than anything.

If we want a western pod I feel like UC Davis could be in contention too. Plans to upgrade their football stadium to a capacity of 30,000.

So basically everyone in the MAC signed a pair of home and homes with Sac St. for $1.5 million and Sac St. is covering all travel costs.

Good, revenue you can budget on. What I have read $6M or 1/3 is due this year. And as far as them using their “Buy” games being used to pay for this over time. Kudos to them to having the foresight and a plan.

They sign a contract? What’s it matter where they come up with the money? And I’m sure IU would be happy to jump on them if the chance developed. I get what you are saying, but per contractual law, how they pay isn’t really a MAC problem.

I agree. But the media should be showing a little more skepticism, IMO.
