Nice job by AP last night when thrown into the fire against the Bears. Remember when Wayne convinced the Bobcats to go after him when seeing him in the Convo during district/regional tournament games. Kid could move smoothly on the court with his size and strength.

He’s overcome a lot and has been a great Bobcat. Not bad for a guy who at this point in his Jr year had not heard from an OHIO coach.

Nice story that talks about him on ninernation.com. (Story about OLine development)
High praise from both Shanahan and Purdy.

Starting at the right offense tackle for the 49er's was/is Colton McKivitz whose family lives in Jacobsburg in Belmont County. He graduated from Belmont Union Local and was never recruited by Ohio, even though in high school he took classes at Ohio University Eastern. He too played high school basketball and ended up being First Team All Ohio in both football and basketball. BTW, his high school basketball team played in the Regionals at the Convo. Again, he was never recruited by Ohio for any sport. I guess Ohio's staff thought he just did not have it in him to play beyond high school in any sport. Oh well, Ohio's loss.

It happens, I'd like to know if any Ohio alums pushed him and let the staff know. So often that is how that happens. I can tell you when he played in the Convo he was already committed by then.

I understand Austen will be starting and playing tonight against the Seahawks. About to get underway on ABC/ESPN. Here’s wishing him good luck!

Buddy got blown up a couple times against DeMarcus Lawrence and Derick Hall, but overall I didn't think he played too bad. Seattle has a relentless front 4 pass rush.
