I saw some Vandy fans asking about Gdowski on a sports fourm - as in, if they don't get Mike Sanford to jump from Boise State, he could maybe move up to offensive coordinator. Was he not OC and associate HC at Ohio during all those bowl seasons?

What would his strong points be as an OC? Can he tweak an offensive to match the strengths of the available talent or is he a "system" guy, tied down to whatever system he is partial to?

I think his title was co-offensive coordinator, which he shared with Albin. It's difficult, as a fan, to know what part of the offense he was responsible for, and what part Albin was responsible for.

I understood it as Co-OC & QB coach with Gdowski/Dixon working the passing game and Albin/OL coach working the running game.

No other opinions on Gdowski? That is a bit of a surprise with how long his tenure ran in Athens. (and how recent it was)

Vandy is also looking for a DC.

True, but the rumor mill has the former UAB head coach as the leader in that search.

The Boise guy decided to stay in Boise (presumably waiting to get the HC job one of these years at Boise) - the process to decide on the OC continues.
