I thought I'd look at the stats from bowls, which for the most part are pretty evenly matched teams, and see how it has played out so far. Through 32 games:
Teams with more rushing yards are 24-8
Teams with more passing yards are 13-19
Teams with under 100 yards rushing are 3-10
Teams with 100-200 yards rushing are 12-17
Teams with 200-300 yards rushing are 11-5
Teams with 300+ yards rushing are 6-0
Teams with under 100 yards passing are 4-3
Teams with 100-200 yards passing are 8-5
Teams with 200-300 yards passing are 9-13
Teams with 300+ yards passing are 11-11
Teams with 60% of their yards from rushing or more are 10-4
Teams with 30-59% rushing are 17-12
Teams with <30% from rushing are 5-16
As much as the game changes, it's still the same game.
