Take a look Fans online at Gannett News Service and one of their Newspapers'"Zanesville Times Recorder" and their front page article about future Bobcat, Gaige King and his special day on campus with the team.
Gaige,5'10', 220 lbs as a 7th. grade lineman and "wanna-be" longsnapper at Dresden Tri-Valley's Middle school, was diagnosed with Cancer(an Optical Orbital Puesdotumor behind his left eye),just two days before PK, Matt Amicone, long snapper, Miles Chapman and Punter Grant Veneham were to work with him this past July. His reunion with those guys was "perfect" according to Gaige who is projected to grow into his size 13 shoes(already!)at about 6-5/6-6 300lbs plus, later in life. Great story, not about football as much, as it is about those incredible 110 guys and Solich,Haines and Amicone and crew who understand about what it takes to make days like this and their last session, possible for an OU "fan and GREAT kid" like Gaige.

Agreed!! Maybe that's what we can expect in year 10 of Coach Solich's program-a class man running a class program.

Mick, Matt and family are good people. It's been proven again and again.

I don't know what "ironic" is anymore but, ironically or not, I think I played Y-City Midget League baseball with Gaige's grandfather, Jack. Isn't it crazy how things you thought you forgot years before come back to you? The world is a very small place.

Good luck Gaige.
