Optimist picks ONE big time atmosphere game on a Thursday night that had a nice crowd. Pick one from this year and most other years and you get 12-15k at most (I know I was at that Temple game and I have always gone to at least one of the weeknight games the past however many years). Hardly the 20+k we get on a Saturday in October.

Your words, not mine.

The issue isn't the midweek games. The issue is having a team people want to watch on any day of the week.

You, and others, seem to think that Frank Solich and staff aren't capable of returning us to what we had 2 to 3 years ago. I would argue that Frank Solich is a large reason we aren't returning to what we had 10 to 44 years ago. We were in a completely different ballpark before Frank came into town. No "big time atmosphere games" at all. Zero. And that counts the Saturday games.

Wasn't the game at Peden when Toledo was ranked a good atmosphere game? I know it was a night game, and I'm pretty sure it was a weekday, but I can't look it up at the moment. I think the problem with most of our night weekday games is they come later in the season when the weather ranges from bad to horrible.

Note that Tenn plays VaTech at the Bristol Motor Speedway that year.
