The Messenger reports he is going to Northwestern and not OU.

So he likes union shops, eh?

Well - good luck to the young man. Had to be a tough choice for him.

Yes, that was reported a couple days ago on the recruiting forum. His place in the class of 2015 has been taken already, by Jeff Christian, who was formerly committed to Purdue. Lose one to the B1G, steal one back...

Looks like we will be picking up three great defensive players from my alma mater:

http://www.cincinnati.com/story/blogs/2015/01/20/colerain.../

They were all very heady, gritty players who helped lead what was a very young defense for Colerain this past season.

Why do we even have a recruiting board?

So that people who have nothing better to do can look there?

Nepotism seems to be really ineffective in our recruiting battles. I wish Trae well in his future endeavors.

Love OUr coaching staff's ability to recruit. Two kids whose dads are on staff and we get neither. Really impressive! But hey, after 10 years maybe in a couple more we might just be back in the MACC. Who knows, in maybe another 10 we could come close to winning the MACC.

-1 Come on BTC, your statement was a restatement of old news that everyone should know and effectively lampooned Alan's lame, old-news post. oldkatz, on the other hand, brought up a contrafactual, which is totally not germaine to the good "Alan roast" we had going.

Hey - sorry guys - I was in Dallas all last week and hadn't looked at the board in days. I get the Messenger update this morning and simply passed on the "news." Excuse me for being offline for a few days.

Now seems like the right time to tell you that sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion.

Didn't you hear? Millennials now outnumber baby boomers. New rules. If you aren't constantly connected to the internet, you are the minority.

I accept your apology this time. However, I advise that you tread carefully.

But, TO, some of us are neither, we are "War Babies," but we manage to keep up with the interwebs (as oldkatz says) even when we are away on a trip, sometimes on distant shores. I remember posts I once made from York, England, to this board. So, bottom line, Alan is without excuse! ;-)

Great point, OCF. I didn't consider that. I rescind my acceptance of Alan's actions.

This discussion reminded me that someone needs to tell Lou Holtz that Athens now has internet.

If you're still in FW, go to eat at Woodshed Smokehouse (get the lamb brisket and ribs) and Rodeo Goat. Best BBQ and burger you'll ever have.
