I know this is really early to be thinking dates but....any idea of when the Spring Game would be? I am trying to get ahead of the curve and book hotels, although that will not be a competitive time.

I'm sure I could look it up, but who is Chris Rodgers? As for April 4th, that would surprise me considering it's Easter weekend.

Chris Rogers, a Bobcat's Bobcat

Chris Rodgers was elevated to the role of Director of Football Operations in February 2014. The 2014 campaign will mark his second season on the Ohio Football staff.

Rodgers spent the 2013 season serving as an Operations Assistant with the team.

In his current role, Rodgers monitors the program's budget, plans and organizes team travel, collaborates with NFL scouts, facilitates the Ohio Football Alumni Golf Outing and directs the high school youth camps.

Rodgers is no stranger to the Ohio football program. He spent five seasons with the team from 2005-09. During his career at Ohio, Rodgers played in two bowl games. He began his career as a tight end before moving to the offensive line.

As a senior in 2009, Rodgers started in all of the Bobcats' 14 games, including Ohio's trip to Mid-American Conference Championship game and the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in Detroit, Mich.

Rodgers' work up front on the offensive line helped the Bobcats finish the year with a 9-5 record and average over 300 yards of total offense per game.

Following his collegiate career, Rodgers earned an invitation to the New Orleans Saints rookie and veterans camps. He also received an invitation to the Cincinnati Bengals rookie camp and was later signed by the club for preseason camp

If the director of operations says it's a date, my bet it's that date. Thanks for the 2 for the info.

I saw somewhere that practice starts toward the end of February. Making use of the IPF.

I think it is a good move to move up Spring Practice a week for those who are injured during the spring so they have more time to rehab before the season.

You can't count on the weather for the spring game. My brother and I have sat through snow, sleet, rain and wonderful sunshine over the years. And always enjoyed the game!
