Due to the reach of our audience, we get approached by a lot of advertisers. 99.9% of the time the ads really don't suit our audience but the folks at Slingbox approached us about a sponsored post. I tried the product out and really liked it so I thought I'd share.

The Slingbox M1 connects to your cable/satellite box and gives you the capability to watch TV anywhere free via your desktop browser (Slingbox app for phones and tablets is $14.99). The quality of video is dependent upon your internet connection. If you're connection is good, the video quality is excellent. As I've been using it, I've realized all sorts of uses for it. Instead of paying an extra $5/month for a DirecTV receiver, I can take DirecTV to my office, the treadmill or on the deck. At work, you can turn on CNBC or the news. Or if you're having a bad day at work, you can put a smile on your face by watching Ohio beat Miami on your DVR. On the road, you always have access to the home team.

I've heard borna talk about this before but I never gave it much thought. Now, I can't believe I never had one. The Slingbox M1 lists for $150 but I got it for $135 at Best Buy. I checked out reviews on CNET, PC Mag and Amazon and the reviews were very positive. So check out the Slingbox M1 and see if it will work for you.

You can put your eye out if you aren't careful with a slingshot.
