Edit: NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED! We have 10 nominees with seconds for our poll:
FEBUS (seconded)
Arthur Carr (seconded)
Kareem Wilson (seconded)
Austin Everson (seconded)
Theo Scott (seconded)
Boo Jackson (seconded)
Bucky Wagner (seconded)
Sammy Shon (seconded)
Tyler Tettleton (seconded)
Cleve Bryant (seconded)

Others considered:
Ron DeLucca
Rich Bevly
Anthony Thorton

Voting will begin 3/23. Use this thread or create a new one to continue lobbying for your favorite!

Earlier post:

In previous threads, the QBs mentioned were Cleve Bryant (by OCF), Kareem Wilson (Ohio69) and FEBUS (by The Optimist).

I'm going to add Franshaw "Boo" Jackson as my nominee because (1) dat hair, (2) he wasn't the best but he always made the games interesting, and (3) trolling Temple Bo Whitley-style after getting punched in the eye.

FEBUS. Doesn't matter if he's already nominated. FEBUS.

Arthur Carr, 1903, who was perhaps the first African American collegiate QB in the nation, later a graduate of Howard University Medical School and a professor of medicine at Howard. His family is reported to have once owned part of the property upon which Peden Stadium is now built. In his day, I believe the football field was where Porter Hall now stands running back through the parking lot close to where the new Baker Center is located and probably encompassing part of the area where Byrd Arena is located. So his family home was apparently not far from the stadium. Though I never saw him play, he's one of my favorities simply because he was such a trail blazer and OHIO should be proud to have led in this early effort at sports integration.

I was going to go with the safe Kareem Wilson pick. Crazy option skills. After listening to OCF's suggestion, I'm in. Great story.

I'll nominate Austin Everson; led Ohio to the then 2007 GMAC Bowl. Not the most talented QB but he always seemed to have a never-say-die attitude.

I really can't tell whether people are voting for Febus ironically...

I once witnessed Febus, sitting right next to the visiting team dugout, trash talking WVU's baseball team at Wren Stadium. He gets points for that, I suppose.

My vote goes to Theo.

Seconded. But I'd pick Kareem based on the homecoming performance against BG in 96.

I would second his nomination, but add that his talent level may have been higher than we give him credit for. His first three years he played three different offenses. Talent level really shows once a guy really gets comfortable with the offense, and can just play, without having to think all the time. He sure looked a lot better in 2006 than 2005, and I especially remember the game he had against NIU, where I believe he was 23-31 for 322 yards and 3 TDs.

I have always wondered two things about him. First, I wonder how he'd have looked with four years in the same offense? Second, I wonder how much better Ohio would have done against CMU in the MACC that year, if he had been healthy?

How 'bout 1 vote for Ron DeLucca? One tuff guy!

He was Everson before there was an Everson.

I'll second Boo because his name gave the TV graphics people and announcers so much to use in terms of gimmicks.

Tettleton is a no brainer here. He was super fun to watch for 3+ years and turned the program around. Remember Penn State, people.
