Time for Monroe's favorite position group....the big guys on the inside of the D line. We'll vote for the top 2 (I'm assuming we're playing a base 4-3, like God intended football to be, and not the blasphemous 3-4).

Nominations close 4/19.

Nominees:
Marcellis Williamson (seconded)
Landon Cohen (seconded)
Antwan Crutcher (seconded)
Mario Daniel (seconded)
Bobby Holloway (seconded)
Jameson Hartke (seconded)
Tom James

I'll second Marcellis, and nominate Landon Cohen.

I'll throw one more name on the pile, Antwan Crutcher.

Seconded.

Too bad that so many good DTs from years past now are "anonymous" - which is a euphemistic way of confessing to leaks in my memory.

Ken Carmon was the only DT in Ohio history to be named three times All- MAC.

You have the wrong side of the ball. Ken was OT. Not DT.

oubobcat70.. You need to get cracking on the media guide. I was perusing online last night and Carmon is listed there as a DT. That's way before my time but I assumed it would be correct. Never trust the media guide.

Did he play both ways?

Also, did Dak Notestine play inside or outside? I swear I remember him inside but his old player profile says he played DE.

Second on Bobby Halloway and Mario Daniel. The best combo I've seen in the Green and White

Sorry. I'm far from Peden so only have been able to see games consistently for about the last 15 years (due to online availability) but I can't think of an OHIO DT who lights up my mind, a guy who was a significant load of destruction.

Landon Cohen was quick off the ball and has made a mark in the NFL.

Given the lack of nominees, you aren't the only one....which supports your dominant defensive tackle thesis.

By the late 1960's, the era of the two way player had pretty much ended. There were probably still a few here and there. But as I recall, we had no two way players during the 1967-1970 era.
