if only one can be chosen, I have to pick Carmon. But Frank Peters was awesome on the other side of the line. Those two offensive lineman played a huge role in the the 68 Championship team success.

You are putting Solominsky and Shelby in the "older" generation? What do you call guys who played pre-1990? Dead?

No, I just split it in half, between the youngest guys and oldest guys. I had to draw the line somewhere...unless we go back to my original method which was just to take the first 10 players with seconds, which people complained about in the RB poll.

All of these are (for better or worse) weighted towards the more recent players, so anything pre-Grobe is just about assured to be in the older half, and sometimes even Grobe-era players will be.

Edit: Yes, Shelby should have been in the other poll. You can dock my pay for that screw up.
