Hookfin's yards gained totals are even more impressive when remembering that he shared carries with Kareem Wilson who also piled up impressive yardage totals. If Hookfin had been the kind of featured back that McCrae, Brinker, etc were, he conceivably would be Ohio's all-time yards gained leader.
Also two different types of offenses though. One relied on misdirection and the other more traditional running plays. I think it's like selecting apples and oranges honestly. Nobody knows how good or bad the either would have been in different situations.
I originally nominated Morsillo just because we were nominating as many as possible. But the performance for Kalvin at NIU in 2006 took the cake for me. Completely dominated the game along with Everson. That put the conference on notice that Ohio was going to be good that year.
