Lots of good linebackers to choose from. We'll try to pick the three favorites. We aren't distinguishing between ILB or OLB here, so (with the exception of Rahim Slaise and Andre Jackson, who we already decided to treat like DEs even though they were OLBs) don't worry about that.

Nominations close 5/3.

Nominees:
Matt Muncy (seconded)
Noah Keller (seconded)
Benny King (seconded)
Lee Renfro (seconded)
Dennis Chukwemeka (seconded)
Tom Carder (seconded)
Vince Costello (seconded)
Jovon Johnson (seconded)
Tyler Russ (seconded)
Jason Carthen (seconded)
Tom Weilbacher (seconded)
David Terry
Jelani Woseley
Keith Moore
Pete Brately

I'm nominating Matt Muncy. Such a beast.

LB is one of only a few positions where Ohio hasn't been able to get a player to the NFL in recent years (RB, QB, and DE are the others). Therefore it's kind of wide open. I'll second Muncy, who certainly does deserve it, and throw in a wildcard, Jelani Woseley, a guy that willingly gave up playing QB to become a very good OLB, and a guy that seemed to have a knack for making game-sealing picks at key moments.

I'll second Benny King, and recommend his bar in Dublin if you are in the area.

I'd like to nominate David Terry who was an absolute beast.

I'm thinking there should be at least one Mangen in this poll, Mike and/or Doug.

Tyler Russ and Lee Renfro complimented Muncy so well, you almost have to nominate them as well.

I would like to "Second" Tom Carder who was a bit undersized, but a big-time hitter. He was a junior on the 1997 team that went 8-3 and brought respectability back to the program.

Carder, Andre Jackson, Rahim Slaise and Leigh Barber were the mainstays at linebacker in the 3-4 defense.

Met Vince when I lived in KC. World class guy.
Starter and star on Cleveland's last championship team...in any sport...and still holds several Browns records including most INts by a linebacker. Ran a very successful business selling figurines of NFL stars.

I vociferously second this nomination.

Second Jovon Johnson. It's been a lot of fun watching him the past couple of years.

If he stays healthy he should be really fun to watch this year. I still think we should find a way to use him on offense too. Why not? The guy has a chance to take it to the house whenever he touches the ball.

Second Carthen. And Weilbacher.

This is a hard vote. But DBs will be even harder.
