Dodd has an interesting piece on PJ Fleck. We've scoffed at some of the things he does, but there's a lot of humility, energy and motivation in what he does. I like that he considers himself a teacher rather than a coach. Good article overall, except that Chuck Martin technically resigned at Kent instead of being fired. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/writer/dennis-do...

Mark my words, Fleck will implode one day. I don't know how and I don't know when. But when he does it will be epic.

Paul, do some research. While at NIU Fleck was responsible for recruiting the players that made NIU's coaches so smart these past few years. He is that guy that is always at the top of the sales board. The lieutenant the sergeants and privates actually like. Just hope there are big bucks being offered for his services after 2015.

I agree. And, I don't see him as particularly humble, despite the reporters characterization of him that way. I see him as somewhat brazen and a self-promoter of the first water. I think I at onetime described him as a snake oil salesman. I don't see anything in this piece that would make me change that judgment. I'm not sure he's completely sane, either.

Hard to row the boat if you've ran aground.

If he was going to run aground, I think it would have happened last year. There's no question that he is a great recruiter, but he also seems to be able to coach some, or has assistants who can. There are tons of schools looking for great recruiters, so I think he'll get some offers to leave Kalamazoo this year.

I disagree fellas. I see no reason why he'd implode. He'll be on to a big pay day in the next year or two and he'll do well. He's young. And, he's fun.

If the Miami Hurricanes finally drop Golden, Fleck would be a great candidate there.

He's very young. He will mature and he will make mistakes along the way. He is a heck of a recruiter , probably because he seems to be a fun guy who the players can identify with. I see no particular reason to say that he will implode. I also don't see any reason to call him a snake oil salesman like some have. He has turned the program around and if he keeps getting MAC best classes, they will get to the top of the MAC very quickly, maybe this year.
