Seems pretty odd. They've been pretty competitive despite the not so great record. Makes you wonder if there is more to the story.
He had one winning season and that was the Covid year. I'm surprised they hung onto him this long.
For Ted's question, I guess the benefit would be to get a jump start in the search ahead of everyone else which means more time to recruit.
To clarify, what was odd is not letting him finish out the final 2 games. I would not have called it odd in 2 weeks.
It always cracks me up when the team is such a cluster, beyond repair, an unmitigated disaster that they have to fire the coach mid-season...
then promote all of his assistants.
Sometimes it really just is the head coach who is just holding everyone down, but you get what I'm sayin.. offensive sucks out loud, coach FIRED. Offensive Coordinator... SAVE US.
