My sources tell me three more transfers are coming in, with several more to follow. The three coming in are all on defense in: a DL from Nevada, a LB from UAB, and a DB from Wisconsin. All three of these guys are transfers who were previous transfers from other schools prior to the ones they are leaving. The DL from Nevada was previously at Southern Connecticut, the LB from UAB was previously at Coffeyville JC and the DB from Wisconsin was previously at Air Force. In addition, a transfer QB will be coming in, as well as 1-2 WR’s and 1-2 OL. I’ve lost track of the numbers, but when all these guys get here I believe nearly half of Ohio’s entire roster will be made of transfers from other schools. That blows my mind.
So the Nevada guy is Marcel Walker-Burgess who was mentioned before. Film looks like he'll be in that Shane Bonner sort of role.

The UAB guy appears to be Reise Collier
https://uabsports.com/sports/football/roster/reise-collie...
Not much the last two seasons there. Redshirt in 2022 and played in only two games in 2023

The Wisconsin guy is Michael Mack who started every game for Air Force in 2022. Per military academy rules, he was ineligible and couldn't obtain a waiver for 2023. https://247sports.com/college/wisconsin/article/michael-m... /

Is DT not getting addressed? I don't know that we have a single incumbent on the roster.

I think quality DTs are some of the highest paid in the NIL universe. On X, it looks like we've had a a few offers out there but they have gone elsewhere. I also think we are looking for another OL or two based on X follows and reported offers.

This crap will go on well into summer. Some of these guys will panic and make crazy decisions. I can't imagine not knowing where I was going to college into summer break but that's the world we live in. IMO, it will lead to bad football across the country because these guys (not our guys, necessarily, but genereally speaking) will pull up and expect to play without even knowing the playbook.

Yes, those are the guys. As for DT, Cam Rice, the West Liberty All-American, is moving inside. He's going to play on the interior DL.

Rice and Doggette on the inside should cause some havoc.

I know most of us despise the portal but look what it did for March Madness basketball. Some of the better teams were just about all transfers.

Keep em comin.

Yes, but the KEY component to the DL is Bradley Weaver returning. The coaches feel he’s not only the best player on the DL, but the best player on the entire defense and one of the best on the team.

There will be at least one QB, WR and OL lineman added and possibly as many as two at each of those positions.

Looks like an excellent get to me.
2023:
Hartrup: 51 catches, 706 yards, 6 TDs.
Wiglusz: 56-660-3

So, FCS or not, yeah.

It doesn’t look like Charles Ross from San Jose is going to work out, so this definitely helps rebuild the WR room.

I like this pickup paired with Hendricks and Coleman Owen. I expect Max Rodarte to make an impact as well. I know there are a lot of question marks but this could be an exciting season depending on how these transfers mesh and step into roles. If Tyus and Hunt are studs it will only open up our passing game.

Navarro looks 25 pounds heavier too. (He was working out with Rourke's current trainer.)

Speaking of Tyus and Hunt, a friend told me at that Athens caravan stop Albin said they were considering some two-back sets. With a running QB like Navarro this would really keep the defense guessing.

Some background on him.

https://247sports.com/college/michigan/article/michigan-w... /

"Routinely running 40-yard dash times under 4.4 seconds"

"He served as a punt-coverage gunner over the past two seasons, including a tackle in the national title game in January, while bouncing between offense and defense in practice during his career."

I wonder why he did not see time at receiver.

My head is spinning, how can anyone keep track of the comings and goings these days. It’s an absolute circus. How in the world can you build any kind of team chemistry when the team is changing literally everyday? I’d like to have a commission on our travel budget that we spend to get these guys.

LOL. My advice would be to check the offical roster ocassionally as they update it somewhat often.

We're not far away from having a CEO of (Insert FBS Football Team) and a team of analysts and admins under them to manage all the stuff outside of football.

It's truly become professional sports.
