I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess we don't have a similarly sized list of incoming players from other programs?

Ohio opted to take about 8-10 more Freshmen that players lost to graduation, so in the end, I expect players incoming from the portal to be about ten less than players leaving via the portal.
So exactly how many players graduated? I’ve lost track of that.

Oh, we don't worry about that anymore.

Jacoby Jones committed to UCF.

I wish these kids would stay, but when they do leave, especially with an Ohio University degree, I hope they find themselves in a good spot football-wise. I think this is a great spot for him, with KJ Jefferson transferring in from Arkansas at QB and in their second year in Big 12.

Entire roster went P5 and we couldn't even get to the MACC. PAIN.

A lot of this stuff is just musical chairs. For instance, today a Wisconsin QB commits to UConn. Within minutes—minutes!—the UConn returning starter hits the portal.

But when you look at it, most of those big names who went P5 have been at Ohio for 3/4/5 years. Personally, if we can get 2 years out of players that will be considered a win.

Sucks to lose people like Bradley Weaver.

Are we positive that Navarro isn't a secret sophomore like CJ? :)

I assume that QB1 has been given to Navarro. I'm puzzled as to why nobody wants the backup role. They run the read option all the time. A season ending injury is always one hit away.

Looks like we are still searching for another QB. That's a relief.

Kyle Lowe - Middle Tennessee State Grad transfer visited.

And there it is, a grad transfer with four years of eligibility. Looks like he early enrolled and graduated MTSU in two-and-a-half years.

Grandson of former Chargers great Woodrow Lowe.

Haven't seen any reports where else he may be considering. The MTSU head coach is Derek Mason, though, so I assume the transfer was with no hard feelings.

Looking at his HS stats and who recruited him it seems like he is in the Navarro mold of smallish QBs who are runners who can pass.

I heard Tyler Walton injured his knee up at EMU. Sounds like it may be a torn ACL. Tough break for him.

Shedrick Rhodes to Rutgers

Also, one of the QBs that recently visited (Kyle Lowe - MTSU Transfer) ended up committing to Georgia State, so that sucks.

One of the top public institutions in the country. Campus is really cool. It goes right up the side of a hill. You can see San Francisco and the Bay off in the distance. I love Cal!

Ummm... wow. Didn't see that one coming. Although I can imagine someone with his raw skills having an amazing workout and earning his spot that way. Whether he can be effective and consistent over several games is tbd. I hope he does well.

He was offered to play at several Ivy League schools out of high school. That wouldn't have been under a full scholarship from the athletic department because that isn't how Ivys operate but they also don't usually give big academic exceptions for athletes so it still says a lot. The fact that he transferred up made me question our assumption that the main reason he transferred is that Navarro was looking set to be the starter. But I am still guessing that was the case. Some of our guys transferred up because they we told they could see the field and being a contributor at a P5 means more NIL money than Ohio can give its best starters. But, while I would love to see him get to play, I suspect that this transfer didn't come with expectations of a lot of playing time and is about Cal wanting experience in their QB room and CJ wanting a prestigious name on his masters degree,

My feeling is that he will not be contending for the starting position unless they have some injuries/transfers. Either way, good for him, wish him the best. If Parker stays healthy and plays like he did in the bowl game last year we should still be solid.

Yeah, they have a 6'5" 220 true freshman last season who played pretty well and hes coming back.

I think this was a smart academic move for someone who wanted to expand his circle a bit. He has said before he wants to be an AD in the future. Those jobs need to make as many contacts as possible.

Cromer's replacement in a few years? I'd be for that.
