Loved reading about all the coaches that opened their doors and gave their time to the OHIO staff mainly because of Coach Solich. Just love how he is never satisfied and always looking to learn more and adapt to changes in the landscape and in his team.

I have always believed that that was just professional courtesy, and that most coaches would open up and be helpful. I remember, however, reading a year ago how PJ Fleck was looking for advice, and the only coach that would take his call was Solich. I think that perhaps you are right, and it's a bit more selective than I used to think.

Partly I think that it is because learning always flows both ways, never in just one direction. For example, why was Monte Kiffin at Ohio? No doubt his old friendship with Solich was a part. No doubt him being at Ohio was helpful to Burrow, but I'm sure he also was curious to see how Ohio had implemented the Michigan State Cover-4 defense, and what Burrow had learned from a year of experience with it.

All staffs do this, and have always done this.

Well for one don't believe everything you read, not everything that goes own is printed in a local paper and not everything printed in the local paper is 100% true.

Their staff has numerous P5 ties, you really think no one will answer their calls? The coaching profession is one big fraternity.
