He and his Montreal Alouettes are playing CFL action on ESPN2 right now. Highlights from earlier indicate he's played a solid game.

Chip was a great Bobcat. Don't remember Rakem.

Saw Chip on the field every play during SportsCenter highlights focusing on Michael Sam. After all, he is the highest paid defensive player in the league.

Here's a recent article.

Cato who? The one that graduated 1-3 vs. the Bobcats? I turned it on long enough to see him get picked off.

Chip had a quiet game. He made only one tackle that was nullified by a penalty and came within millimeters of picking off a late-game pass that set up Ottawa's winning TD.

Cato had a decent game but made some typical rookie mistakes. He was rolling to his right under pressure and threw across the field into triple or quadruple coverage. It was easily picked off. You don't get away with that in pro ball, wherever it is. On their last play of the game he ran out of bounds well short of a first down on third and very long (they get only three downs in Canada) so it went over to the Redblacks, who ran out the clock. In that situation you throw the ball somewhere and hope for the best. They call him "Rakeem the Dream" in the CFL; I don't remember that in Huntington.

Apologize for earlier post. Thought we were talking about a Bobcat player.

Great article. Thanks for sharing. I'll be honest - I was not aware of Chip's status in the CFL. He sounds like a great example for current Bobcats!
