@OhioFootball Announces Fall Camp Schedule

Players Report Wednesday – UPDATED

Aug. 4, 2015

ATHENS, Ohio – As Ohio welcomes back its football players Wednesday it will mark the start of the 121st season of intercollegiate football for the Bobcats and the 11th under current head coach Frank Solich.

The Bobcats return 20 starters  (10 offense, 7 defense, three special teams) from last year’s squad and were picked to finish tied for second in the Mid-American Conference East Division in the MAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

Ohio will hold 21 practices and two scrimmages during its fall camp that begins with its first practice at 8:50 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 6) at Peden Stadium. All practices are open to the media and times are subject to change. Photography and video recording is only allowed for the first 10 minutes of each practice.

The Bobcats open the season on the road at Idaho Sept. 3. Kickoff against the Vandals is set for 9 p.m. ET.

Well, there will be closure, but realistically it will be awhile before word filters down to us. Arkley will probably have an article somewhere along the line that tells us what is going on. Alternately they will put an official fall roster up on the website in a week or three, and that will also tell us.

Hey, why don't I see Cameron Gunnels on the roster ? Is this just another mistake by the pencil pushers ? They make a lot of mistakes.

I just heard on the local radio that Ohio State is doing a show similar to "Relentless" which will air on the BTN. It will be a series of half hour shows that follow the Buckeyes through training camp, and up to their first game. The other teams are not happy as they feel it will give the Buckeyes a huge advantage in recruiting.

Ohio should definitely do it again. It was a great idea, and very, very well executed, with enough action and story to make it interesting to viewers. It had to help recruiting, and help build the fanbase.
