redhawk is playing Presbyterian College.

That's so stunning that I don't even think there's a good joke in there.

And the game is close. Miami's only winning 13-7 in the 4th quarter. Sheesh! And Eastern Michigan loses to Old dominion. Yikes! The bottom rung of the MAC stinks.

EMU was up 3 with like 2 minutes to play and then they let off a 45 yard TD run. Doh!

ODU starting back finishes with 223 yards, 4 tds, 8 ypc.

Those are some lowly results.

Ohio has the only win by a MAC school over a 1A team this week. The last best hope for another is NIU vs UNLV, but NIU is trailing in the second quarter. The only other game is Akron-Okla.

BG gave up 399 yards rushing and 605 total yards to Tenn, they obviously lost 59-30. You really have to work hard to give up 399 yards rushing, even the Browns couldn't pull that off.

And Babers is not making any friends among SEC refs:

NIU and Miami eventually asserted themselves, and our win was solid overall, but the MAC had a pretty terrible week. Quite a contrast to C-USA, which claimed a number of nice wins.

Miami needed a "predestined" result in the opener to make sure the fans would come back the second week

Only 26 points against Presbyterian College at home is a sad effort by Miami.

True, but BG also put up over 550 yards of offense itself including over 400 through the air against a Top-25 team away from home. They probably would have flirted with double that had they played against Idaho.

No doubt It certainly wasn't a good weekend for the MAC. But Ohio clearly played the easiest (and worst) FBS team out of the matchups vs the MAC. WMU played Top-25 Michigan State, BG played Top-25 Tennessee, Akron played Top-25 Oklahoma, CMU played Oklahoma State, Kent State played Illinois and NIU played UNLV. If any one of those teams with the exception of probably Kent State had played Idaho, they would have won. And if Ohio had played any of those teams with the exception of UNLV, it would have lost.
