We gotta get a new one. Good lord does it make us look small time. "Modest!" "Polite!" "Measured in sweat!" Making matters worse was that it followed the Sun Belt commercial during each break. I liked the Sun Belt commercial! Nice campus shots and a few brief quotables from current athletes. The British volleyball player from South Alabama was very cute!

The Ohio ad is pretty lame, too. I understand the intended message is about the experience and school pride, but give me some hard data. With soaring student loan debt, why should I go to school at Ohio University? The following series answered that question masterfully:

Until Ohio commercials sound conversational and the production values get better, they'll be second-rate. They might do more harm for the brand than good.

We're told how freaking great this national television exposure is for the university and then wheel out something I'd expect to see from the local Catholic high school. And that's understating how well done most private high school TV commercials are these days.

The MAC commercial sucks. Somehow it makes the one with the girl, the guy and their uncle in the restaurant look not bad.

The Ohio spot is several years old and could be the only one ESPN3 had in the rack. We definitely need new, better ones.

The MAC commercial stinks. Big time.

30 seconds of highlights of big MAC victories with just a MAC logo and the announcers would do it for me. Akron men's soccer beating someone big. Northern Illinois running out of the tunnel for the Orange bowl. Ohio or BG volleyball beating a ranked team. Kent State making the baseball College World Series. The Marching 110 gangnam style. A Miami hockey goal at the Frozen 4. DeVaughn's dunk against Georgetown.

We are the MAC. We are damn good. We are a lot of fun. (Screw you P5)

(Then again, maybe Ohio should just keep this idea for its own next commercial)

See, now that would be fun and exciting. Maybe throw in something about great academics. That commercial last night was not good.

Was disappointed the MAC commercial didn't show any athletes from the actual schools but rather actors. Or at least use actors in clothing of your members.

I've disliked our commercial for a few years now. I think that one is threw years old. It has nice campus, 110, etc shots but the commentary from students is so bland and cookie cutter. Makes the ad completely forgettable.
